This is just a test to see what my blog actually will look like! :-)
And why not start with the one thing all nerds are struggling with: World
of Warcraft. Have I bought it? Yes... do I enjoy playing it? Yes... Did I get addicted to it? Yes... Have I stopped playing WoW that much now? Yes... Am I more social now than before? Yes!
As an enthusiastic Tolkien-fan AND a gamer with a liking to roleplaying and adventure, this had to be a test for me. I knew from before I bought the game, that I would become addicted.
But it's such a sweet game. You can do whatever... from fishing or picking flowers... to slaying dragons or killing real, online playing enemies!
Your choices are endless... almost.
And that's what so fascinating about the game. You can play for hours and not get tired. Tired of the game, that is. You WILL get tired, and will need some hours of sleep after a while, I promise you. Not only that. A social life without the Goblins, Trolls and Dwarves is one many players don't know about. But it's out there! There IS light in the end of the tunnel! And I found it. Finally... because of exams and study, I managed to stop playing for a while. And it feels great. I finally have the time to do other things.
This does NOT mean I will stop playing WoW yet. Maybe I will sell my account after a while, but not yet. I don't think it's worth that a lot now. When Christmas, I will play! I've heard there are snowballfights! AND that Santa Claus will come and hand out presents! I better be a good Paladin, or I will not get any presents!
And to all you WoW-geeks out there: Light be with you!
